Anneliese's Schools: After School Program

Our after school enrichment program runs from 3pm to 5:30pm (varies slightly from grade to grade). After the formal academic day ends, students have a nutritious snack followed by free play in the garden until the enrichment classes begin. The enrichment classes range from classes in the Arts and Crafts to dance and foreign language instruction. Students may sign up in advance for a class or they may simply "choose" on any given day what class they wish to attend. The day ends with an evening circle during which time students have another snack and prepare for going home. This circle consists of story time, singing, foreign language, and discussions.

An example of the variety of classes our after school program offers:

Fine Arts: painting, drawing, mixed media
Crafts: batiking, sewing, weaving, origami
Dance and Movement: modern, jazz, ballet, karate, hip/hop
Foreign Language: German, French, Spanish
Academics: math and reading tutoring (not always offered year round)
Sports and Recreation: field play, soccer, running, walking to the beach (if applicable)
